Nicholas M. Forte

Nicholas M. Forte, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was born June 19, 1954, in Washington, PA, a son of the late Nicholas Michael and Josephine Marie Pistilli Forte. The family resided in Ellsworth, where he was raised and grew up. Nick received his undergraduate degree from California University of Pennsylvania and his masters in School Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. From 1978 to 2012, he taught at Shaler Area School District, where he retired. Nick enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He also loved to shoot trap at both the Library Sportsmen's Club and the Dormont-Mt. Lebanon Sportsmen's Club, where he was a member of the trap league. When he was not outdoors, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Jackie. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Jacqueline Forte; a daughter, Jessica (Kevin) Higgins of Pittsburgh; a son, Brian (Rachel) Forte of Ariz.; two grandchildren, Silas and Sofia Forte both of Ariz.; a sister, Francine (Tom) Keriotis of Colo.; an uncle, Vincent (Virginia) Pistilli of Bentleyville; a brother-in-law, George (Nancy) Lemon of W.Va.; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211), on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of his blessing service at 12 p.m.
