Grain Valley, MO: Nicholas "Nick" Fortner, 63, Grain Valley, MO passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at a Lee's Summit, MO hospital.
He was born on September 2, 1960, the son of Lee Fortner and Judy Bowen.
Nick was a North Harrison Graduate, served in the US Navy, Army, and the Texas National Guard. He was a proud owner Nick's Inspection's Services which he ran with his Son, Tyler.
Nick was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Bowen.
To cherish his memory are his two children Nakia(Jared) Gully and their children, Makenzie, Abby, and Hunter, Bella Vista AR, Tyler Fortner, Grain Valley; father, Lee (Inie) Fortner, stepfather, Gene Bowen (Sharon) of Worth, MO; brothers, Rick (Georgia) Fortner, Rayville, MO, Scott (Teri) Fortner, Blythedale, MO, Brian (Kimith) Fortner, Lawson, MO; Tom Pottorff (Gayla) Hatfield, MO; Ty Lundberg, Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Shannon (Bryan) Hovorka of Lawson, MO, Amy Yeager, Fargo, ND. Uncles, Dewey (Ruth) Fortner, Kansas City, MO, Delvin (Joann)Wilkinson, MN; Aunt, Cheri Floyd of Independence, MO. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
Graveside Services and Burial with Military Rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 in Lincoln Center Cemetery, Hatfield, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. Memorials may be made to Lincoln Center Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
