Gone too soon...this is truly so devastating to hear. My prayers and sincere condolences to his family, as well as a lot of his closest fraternity [OE] brothers that we went to Frostburg with. We shared many memories in the college days, as well as later on in Baltimore. Nick truly lit up the room, brought the energy, and I will always remember him for his bright smile, and kindness. He always wanted to best for people, and saw the best in people, which is a rare quality to have. He will truly be missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace, Nick.

Please accept my sincerest condolences. What a beautiful soul! I am at a loss for words! My daughter and I met Nick a few weeks ago on his last day as a bar manager at Bluebird Cocktail Room. His light, love and positivity was contagious! He was so excited that night and gave away containers of his BABA NATURAL healing salve. Since our meeting, we had been in contact and I had forwarded business resources. I was looking forward to supporting his pop-up ventures and rooting for his success ....What a heartbreaking loss. My prayers are with you and your family.

My childhood was a lot like sandlot. We had these joining apartments and townhouses that formed the perfect baseball diamond. Every summer we would get our bats, gloves and base balls and play until the sun went down. We didn´t have cellphones back then we all kind of just knew when to show up. Home plate was a drainage pipe in front of a wall that would connect to a townhouse of one our best athlete in our neighborhood. As soon as the first pitch was thrown he would grab his glove and come out. That was Nick Freeman. Nick threw the pitch that I hit for a home run that broke another friend´s bedroom window. It was Nick´s house we hid in when we ran away. Nick was a competitor, a protector and peace keeper of our little group. Nick got me out of my shell as a kid, Nick was the first familiar face I saw when I moved to LA. He again got me out of my shell. Nick wasn´t fearful, he had a lot of pride about where he came from and he never looked down on anybody. Of all things Nick was the greatest at being a human being. Rest in power Nick.

Nick and I played football together for many years. He was the first to smack you on the helmet and congratulate you when you did something great as well as the first to pick you up when you were down. He was one of the few people who gave you faith that this rough world could be a better place. Rest in peace brother and we will play together again someday.

My first memories of Nick were in Elementary, Middle and High School as we went to the same schools and even rode the same buses together since we lived near each other growing up. After graduating High School, I went to TU and he went to Frostburg and we´d bump into each other from time to time at a house party, bar or club since we had some mutual friends. We would talk here and there and he was always very nice to me. Funny enough I lived in LA for a year and then moved back to MD and he also ended up moving to LA for some time and then back home to MD. I just wish we would´ve been able to hang out more. I know he lived a good life and had so much more to give. He loved all his family and friends very much. May you Rest in Peace Nick...& my deepest condolences to all his family and friends. I will keep him and all of you in my thoughts and prayers...

In loving memory of Nick Freeman, my amazing friend and brother. Nick always encouraged me to excel in photography, filming, and acting, believing my big break was just around the corner even when I doubted myself. I'll forever cherish our hikes to the top of Wildwood, his mountain, where we embraced our Wolfpack spirit and dreamed of new adventures, and everywhere he went he traveled always with a classy bottle of wine in tow. I'll miss our late nights in the sound booth, freestyling until we created magic. Nick's love for his family and friends, and his unwavering support, made him truly special. I feel a part of me is gone, but I will live my life with him in my heart always. Rest in peace Nicky

I met Nick when he was living in LA. We were in the same fraternity but I graduated before he got to Frostburg. One of the guys connected us while I was out visiting Ca. I only stayed one night but I got to run up a mountain with him! He loaned me a shirt and gifted me a sweet pair of shoes. "I got them from a photo shoot I was in, but they don´t fit right," he said. This was the coolest person ever, what a welcome to LA.

We had a good visit, spoke about many things. One of the topics was acting. I used to act in high school and was fascinated by what it meant to do it professionally. He said something that stuck with me. He said that despite it seeming like acting is about pretending, acting is really about finding and being in Truth.

You were the real deal Nick. Thank you for sharing

Nick and I lived on the same floor at Frostburg in which an instant friendship was formed. We rented a house with two others our sophomore year too.

When looking back at that time, I can probably tell story after story about Nick, but I noticed there was a common theme, each and every time. He was incredible friend. He was fiercely loyal, competitive (I will not disclose my Madden record against him), compassionate, inspiring, supportive, etc.

Despite all of the years ago, his impact on me still remains and for that, I'm so grateful.

My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends. Love you, Nick.

Your Italian brother,

Tom Natali

One of the very first of many memories with Nicky Free was going on Gordan Ramsay´s show the Fword and we got to sit right in FRONT of the team competing. They cooked for us! Heading to Santa Monica Pier for a soccer event when USA vs Columbia was on in 2016 for Copa America. He introduced me to Pyramid Lake. He showed me Wildwood Canyon and used to howl at the sun - Nicky the wolf- running past all of us on "his mountain" as he would call it. Our last conversation Sunday was him teasing me for picking a weak trail and my "chicken legs" couldn´t handle wildwood hah when my mom was sick he sent her Baba natural and asked about her all the time. He loved our Frenchie Herbert, "meatloaf" and brought out a smile in a dog I never knew existed - Uncle Nicky. He cared more than most people in the world. He loved hard. He pushed everyone around them to see their potential and be their best. I love you Nicky Free and you´ll always be a part of us.

Nick and I lived in the same dorm my Freshman year at Frostburg. One day he came to me and said he had a friend coming to visit but since he had a fraternity event he needed someone to entertain his friend. He then introduced me to Melissa and we became lifelong best friends. He gave me the biggest gift of all by introducing me to Melissa. Nick and I stayed friends all through out college and after. Sending all my love and prayers to his family and loved ones.

I will always remember how hard we laughed together. We have been friends since middle school. Too many crazy/long nights while we were at Frostburg. He was always inspiring me to never settle. One of the best men I've ever met.

Right out of college Nick and I rented an apartment in and worked at the State Department where we were paid paid well considering what little work experience we had. Nick loves to live big, on paydays we would hit the best kabob spots in DC, go shopping in Georgetown, and Nick would spend the rest on taking care of the people around him. One week later we were both broke and living off pb&j´s. It didn´t matter, highs or lows, we found joy in it all.

My first memory of Nick was in college at Frostburg. Nick showed off his unbeatable mindset as he was pledging the fraternity I had just joined. Nick jumped right in on the intramural sports teams and excelled all the way through college.
