Nicholas Grimaldi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Inc. on Mar. 19, 2026.
Nicholas P. Grimaldi passed on March 18, 2026, he was to turn 91 in 7 days. Born of Nicholas and Antoinette Grimaldi of East Hartford, CT. Predeceased by both parents and two sisters, Carolyn Novotasky and Rita Clapp and brother-in-law Kenneth Krul. Survived by his loving wife Janice Grimaldi and two sons Michael and Stephen Grimaldi, wives Christine Grimaldi, Nancy Grimaldi and each of their two children Kristian and Johnathan Grimaldi, Alex and Cassandra Grimaldi and great-grandsons Laredo and Joseph Grimaldi and brother-in-law Allen Krul.

Nicholas was a Chiropractor, graduate of Lincoln College in Indiana, as well as a 32-year dedicated employee of Pratt & Whitney/United Technologies MCL. He spent his life dedicated to helping and healing people as a Chiropractor working second shift and weekends from his home office at 1271 Forbes Street, East Hartford, after working a full day of first shift for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a Manager in the Metallurgy Control Lab.

He gave his family the best of his years and earnings to allow them to live a fruitful and happy life with a home in East Hartford, a cottage on Lake Hayward in east Haddam for summer fun and great family memories, as well as a condominium in Englewood, Florida. He offered his guidance and intellect on a daily basis to help forge his son's education and careers even at 90.

He paid for both his son's college tuition and housing and was proud to do so. He was unselfish, humble, gracious, and forgiving. A man of integrity, honor and generosity. He lived his life as he intended and dedicated himself to his wife, family, and closest true friends and at the same time always offered advice and comfort in the most healing of ways to all his patients as a doctor. He was both his sons and grandchildren's mentor, as well as always having a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He would never anger when he was made the blunt of a family joke and always played along.

He loved art and music, great food and wine, but mostly, the company of his family and friends. His focus was on natural healing methods and science yet at the same time he believed in God and the power of prayer.

He will always be loved and missed. Someday we will be with him once again. We love you Husband and Father.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
