America is a better country because of your service to her. Your work in The Kennedy justice department was honorable. You did great work to stamp out injustice and to seek equality for all. You are a hero. Rest in Peace

all our very best to the Katzenbach family. I am sure our fathers are reminiscing now when Mr.Katzenbach and dad says whisked him to his car to an important meeting on the FDA Amendments of 1962. I am so glad our fathers were part of the new frontier.

Suds, as probably the only extant member of the Oxford University Ice Hockey team of 1948/49, which you and Nick, being married and certainly more mature than the rest of us, sort of parented on our European tour, may I record that you were fun to be with, tolerant of our enthusiasms, such as for the newly published manual on Gamesmanship, "How to Win Games Without Actually Cheating", which Bert McKinnon cherished throughout his judicial career and Al Blakeney his political, and warmly remembered.

I grew up in the Black Belt of Alabama back in the 1950's and 1960's.
I still have vivid memories of the day Gov. George Wallace stood in the doorway at the University of Alabama facing Mr. Katzenbach. It was truly one of the turning points in the Civil Rights Era.
My whole family and everyone in the community was watching. We knew things would get better.
Thank you Mr. Katzenbach for your role in helping Black people achieve equality.
Rest In Peace !!!
