To Antonette and your entire family,
Sending my condolences along with my prayers and deepest sympathies from North Carolina.
I had known Nick for well over 50 years.
I had so many nice chats with Nick. I even had Nick as my Math teacher in the summer of 1968 at Rockland Community College.
Rest in Peace my friend.

It is with much sadness that Mary Ann and I learned of Nick's passing. He was a great colleague and of course a dear friend to us. Over the years we enjoyed our times together playing gold and especially our many trips to Arthur Ave. His mathematical mind was unmatched and of great value to me. Most memorably I recall a time when I called upon him to help me with my granddaughter's math homework. He will be so sorely missed. Our condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Antoinette and the rest of his family.

Many fond memories of Mr. Labruna's math classes, all his jokes, and the fact that he made it easier to understand algebra. Years later, when I was a teacher, the math teacher down the hall was telling goofy jokes and I asked him if that was a requirement for math teachers because one of the best I ever had was always telling us jokes. Eternal memory Mr. Labruna.

My prayers are with the LaBruna family. He was a true gem. Nick was my algebra teacher in at NHS and his love of math and education inspired me to teach and to teach math. The first time I saw him at Sunday mass I greeted him as Mr. Labruna. I had my 3 kids in tow and he replied " I think you can call me Nick now" !! May you rest in peace "Nick".

I remember Mr LaBruna from his days at the middle school and all through high school. While I never had him for math, my daughter had him some years later(much later) which was a testament to his longevity and his love of teaching. What I remember most was his sense of humor. People around him were always smiling. We have lost 2 truly remarkable teachers from Nanuet this week and they'll ne sorely missed. May the rest in peace.
