Nicholas Macris Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Turlock Memorial Park & Funeral Home on Dec. 12, 2025.
Nicholas David Macris, known to many as Nick, was born on October 31, 1975, in San Jose, California, and passed away peacefully with immense love surrounding him. He was the firstborn and the first grandchild of his father's parents. Nick was a beloved father, grandfather, son, grandson, big brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and light to those who knew him.

As a child, Nick loved baseball, being active, and spending time with friends and family. He tried his best to enjoy life and was known as an amazing cook and a hard worker. He was also organized and thoughtful in everything he did.

Growing up, Nick wasn't just a big brother-he was like a father to his siblings. He took care of them, guided them, and gave them love and support that left a lasting impact.

Nick was a father to three children and a grandfather to one granddaughter, whom he loved more than anything.

Later in life, Nick was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, a challenge he faced with courage and determination. Unfortunately, his diabetes affected many parts of his body, making life even harder. Nick wanted so badly to live, and letting him go in peace was one of the hardest things for all of us, because we knew how much he still wanted to be here. Even in the face of his illness, he never let it define the warmth, humor, and kindness that made him who he was.

Nick was the kind of person who never held back what was on his mind, but he was also gentle, caring, and deeply loyal. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by his siblings, his parents, his children, his granddaughter, his grandmother, his nieces and nephew, and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Nick Macris.

Nick's life was a gift to all of us, and his memory will live on in the stories we share, the moments we cherish, and the love he leaves behind.
