Nicholas W. McCarthy, age 76 died Tuesday July 16th at the Bath NYS Veterans Home. Nicholas was predeceased by his parents, John and Rita McCarthy. His siblings, Rita Farrow, Susan McCarthy, and Thomas McCarthy. Nicholas is survived by his brothers and sisters, John (Lori) McCarthy, Robert McCarthy, Maureen, and Liz (Tom) Curley, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and brother in law, George Farrow. Nick graduated from Binghamton Central, Broome Community College, and Elmira College. He was a Navy veteran, and retired from the USPS after 30 + years.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, Thursday July 25, 2024 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Thursday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donating to the Humane Society, 167 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903 or CHOW, 3 Otseningo Street, Binghamton, NY 13903.

Nick was a great friend. When he would stop by just to talk we would go on for hours going from one subject to another. He seemed to know something about everything. Praying for peace for the family.
