Nicholas Allen "Nick" Messenger, age 37, of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 14, 2020. He was born in Battle Creek on October 13, 1982 the son of Donald Lee and Dawn M. (Stager) Messenger. Nick married Brandy M. Diehl in Battle Creek on November 17, 2018; she survives. He is also survived by his children, James Freeze, Jason Freeze, Kaylee Messenger, Aiden Messenger and Jadin Messenger; three grandchildren, Vladimyr Brooks, Amberlyn Brooks, and Payton Gundrum; his mother, Dawn Messenger; his brothers, Tobias Messenger, Donald Messenger, and Marv Messenger; and his half-sister, Angel Collins. Nick was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. Messenger; his son, Gavin Brooks; and his brother, Benjamin Messenger and Eric Messenger. Nick attended the Rhema Word Outreach Center. He was full of life and always liked to make people laugh, and always had a big smile. Nick was definitely a homebody and truly enjoyed working out, working on his truck, listening to music & dancing, and spending time with his wife & family. The family will receive friends 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29th at the Rhema Word Outreach Center, 31242 N. M-66 Hwy, Battle Creek, MI 49017 where services to celebrate Nick's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated. Arrangements by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
