Nicholas Raymond Nashick

Nicholas Nashick, 88, was born in January 1937, in the Bronx, New York to parents Bob and Lillian. He attended high school in New York and later enlisted in the United States Navy where he served aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard aircraft carrier.
Following an honorable discharge, he moved to California where he established himself in the thriving Los Angeles art scene of the 1960s. He was a gifted painter who sold many of his works at art galleries and shows, with several paintings becoming part of museum collections in California.
Nicholas was creative, quick-witted, strong, and independent. He enjoyed being active outdoors, painting, writing, dancing, and socializing with friends.
He is survived by his two sons, his grandchildren, and siblings.
Services were private. He will be remembered for his creativity, good humor, and independent spirit.
