Nicholas James Ragonese, 46, of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. He was the loving husband of Kassie A. (Krupiak). They were together for six wonderful years.
Nick was born in Brooklyn, NY, but grew up locally in Reading, PA. He attended Wilson High School where he played football and graduated in 1997.
For the last eight years he worked at Can Corporation of America where he fulfilled the role of Electrical Engineering Manager. As a licensed certified electrical engineer, Nick was also an instructor for several years at the Berks Career and Technical Center.
Blessed with a kind and patient demeanor, Nick was always willing and wanting to help others. He was a very generous man with a beautiful sense of humor. Nick had an encyclopedic mind full of random, weird, and fun facts that made him an unforgettable presence in so many lives. He possessed the rare talent of being able to fix anything around the house; whether it be electrical, plumbing, or heating that needed attention, he could figure it out.
Nick enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially with his crossbow, and he really enjoyed riding four wheelers. He loved being at the beach and being in the water. A true Brooklynite, Nick was proud of his Italian heritage and was an avid NY Giants fan.
Left to cherish Nick's memory is his loving wife, Kassie; his children, Nicholas and Donovan Ragonese; step children, Brent Krupiak, fiance of Kayla Bunnel, and Emily Christy; along with grandchildren, Natalia Krupiak and Greyson Fronina. Nick is also survived by his mother, Dee Ragonese; his siblings: Peter Ragonese and wife, Mina; Mandy Miller; Thomas Ragonese and wife, Jessica; and Jaime Walter and husband, John; in-laws, John and Vicky Romanoski; and his extended family of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and their families. Nick will also be greatly missed by his and Kassie's beloved dog, Ragzy.
Nick was predeceased by his father, Peter.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
