Nicholas Ranieri Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. - Rochester on Jan. 2, 2026.
Nicholas "Nick" Joseph Ranieri, 70, passed away peacefully in the early afternoon of December 30, 2025. Born into a large and loving family, Nick was the youngest of twelve children and spent his life surrounded by the care, protection, and affection of those who cherished him.

Though he lived to the age of 70, Nick's mind and spirit never strayed far from the joyful, curious nature of a 7-year-old. He faced lifelong challenges that often made his communication difficult, and while he had his moments - as anyone in his circumstances might - those who loved him understood them as part of the burdens he carried, never as a reflection of his heart.

Through his deep faith in God and the gentle wonder he carried like a child, Nick moved through the world with a warmth that softened hearts and a humor that lifted spirits. His presence sparked easy smiles and revealed, almost effortlessly, how the smallest moments in life can hold the deepest meaning.

Nick is predeceased by his parents, Albert B. Ranieri and Genevieve V. Ranieri (Jay); his sister Dolores (and the late Peter) Latona; and his brothers John (and the late Irene) Ranieri, Richard (and the late Janice) Ranieri, and Albert (RoseAnne) Ranieri. He is survived by his siblings Barbara (Paddy) Rice, Carol (and the late Paul ) George, Genevieve (Frank) Tiberio, Victor (Kristine) Ranieri, Maryann (Don) Brown, Sandra (Ronnie) Behan, and Daniel (Kelly) Ranieri, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Nick's life was defined not by limitations, but by the love he gave and the love he received.

Friends and family are invited to call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 06, 2026, at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 3325 Winton Rd. South. Funeral Mass to be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 07, 2026, at St. Anne Church, 1600 Mt. Hope Avenue. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre.
