Nicholas Louis "Nick, Big Nick, Big Daddy, Wolf" Rossi

Nicholas "Nick" Louis Rossi of Woodridge, Illinois, passed away on February 13, 2026. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 11, 1948, Nick was a devoted family man, proud business owner, and lifelong Ironworker.

He was the owner of J&D Erectors Inc. in Chicago and a dedicated member of Ironworkers Local #63 for over 55 years. Throughout his career, Nick helped build the Chicago skyline, leaving a lasting mark on the city he loved. He exemplified hard work, loyalty, and integrity in every project he undertook.

Nick was formerly married to Dianne Rossi and later shared his life with his beloved partner, Nancy Lambert. He is survived by his sons, Vincent (Alli) Rossi and Nicholas (Christine) Rossi; his bonus daughter, Heather (Chris) Prola; his grandchildren, Michael (Bella), Mary (Joe), Missy, Christian; his bonus grandchildren, Jordan, Olivia, Maddux, Memphis, and Aria; and his great-grandchildren, Lily and Maggie. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Marilou (Bob) Catani and Debra (Late Nicoli) Leschuck, and was an uncle and great-uncle to many cherished nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Jerfita) Rossi and Louis Fred Rossi.

An avid sports fan, Nick loved cheering on the Chicago White Sox, Blackhawks, Bears, and the New England Patriots, as well as spending time with his sons on fishing trips. He treasured spending time with his grandchildren and always put others before himself, leaving a legacy of love, generosity, and kindness.

Nick - Big Nick, Big Daddy, Wolf - will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His dedication to family and friends, as well as his one-of-a-kind spirit and selfless heart, will be remembered and cherished forever.
