Nicholas T. Sciallo, 69, of Nicholson, PA, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton, PA.
Born June 18, 1952 in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Helen Roberts Sciallo.
Nick attended Flushing High School, Queens, NY, and worked as bus driver for Queens Transit for 10 years. He also worked for United Pavement Marking, Queens, NY.
He is of the Catholic faith, enjoyed woodworking and was an avid New York Mets and Giants fan.
He is survived by one daughter: Christine Padilla of Cadiz, KY; one son: Nicholas Sciallo, Jr. and wife, Maryellen of West Hartford, CT; two grandsons: Frankie Padilla and Eddie Sciallo
six sisters: Annette Berry, Roseann Milano, Carol Sciallo, Nancy Paladino, Irene Mandell and Betty Hawks; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Milano and Cathy Sciallo; and two brothers: Thomas and John Sciallo.
A blessing service was held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, officiated by Rev. Michael J. Kirwin. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Pallbearers: Nicholas Sciallo, Jr., Will Berry and Annette Berry.
A viewing was held Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 5-8 p.m.
