Nicholas Ryan "Nick" Smith

Nicholas Ryan "Nick " Smith, 32, of Washington, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023. He was born on June 2, 1991, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of Lee Smith and Debbie Sue (Reynolds) Gay. He was an employee of Far Best Farms in Washington, Indiana, where he was a team lead at the turkey farms. Nick was a supporter in the community, he was a volunteer at Light House Recovery Center in Washington, Indiana and rode motorcycles for charity. He was a family man and loved spending time with his family especially his daughter, Makayla. Nick had a mini farm of chickens. In his free time, Nick loved to go fishing at his pond. He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Charles G. Reynolds and Lee Smith Sr.: Aunt and Uncle, Patricia and Bobby Smith. Survivors include his mother, Debbie (Joey Taylor) Gay of Scottsburg, Indiana; father, Lee Smith, Jr. of Austin, Indiana; daughter, Makayla Smith of Austin, Indiana; twelve siblings, Charles (Erica) Reynolds of Scottsburg, Indiana, Lee (Shannon) Smith III of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Brandon (Terra) Smith of Austin, Indiana, Robert Taylor of Austin, Indiana, William (Kimber Meyers) Neace of Scottsburg, Indiana, Cheyenne (Keanan) Vaughn of Austin, Indiana, Joseph Taylor III of Scottsburg, Indiana, Justin Smith of Clarksville, Indiana, Derek (Kaitlea) Smith of Clarksville, Indiana, Josh Smith of Scottsburg, Indiana, Carolyn Smith of Seymour, Indiana, and Conner Taylor of Scottsburg, Indiana; and two grandmothers, Rosemary Reynolds and Virgie Smith both of Austin, Indiana. Nick is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Pete Aldrich officiating.
