He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years, Mary J. (Summerfield) Taylor, brother-in-law Bob Oyer, and his parents.

Nick worked for many years as a mechanic for the KCMO police garage, eventually retiring. Nick also DJ'd many weddings, parties, and events as KC's Nick at Nite. Nick will be remembered for his willingness to help a friend, musical talent, and wicked sense of humor. Nick loved to travel with Mary every chance they got and received shirts or other mementos from other peoples travels. Nick was an AVID Kansas City Chiefs fan.

In Lieu of services, Nick had requested his family hold a celebration of life at a later time for close family and friends to honor both he and Mary.
