Nicholas was born in Framingham to the late Henry and Mary (Wood) Thomas, and grew up in Sudbury, attending the Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School, Class of 1980. Nicholas spent some time in Maynard and Marlborough before settling down in the late '80s to a comfortable, happy life in Hyannis. He lived near his family and friends, and his girlfriend Carol. He worked several part-time jobs and enjoyed collecting baseball cards.
Nicholas suffered from Schizophrenia, experiencing neurological symptoms since childhood. Any memorial contributions can be sent to: Schizophrenia & Psychosis Action Alliance, 2308 Mount Vernon Ave., Suite 207, Alexandria, VA 22301.
Funeral arrangements are private and entrusted to the care of Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. Online condolences may be placed at www.philbincomeaufh.com.
