Nicholas John Walls

Nicholas John Walls, born November 21, 1892, in Bennington, Vermont, passed away on February 1, 2026.

Nicholas was born and raised in Bennington, a place that always remained close to his heart. He was the kind of person who could light up a room simply by being in it. Known for his sense of humor and easygoing nature, Nicholas loved making the people around him laugh and feel comfortable. Affectionately nicknamed "Chewy," he was famous among family and friends for making Chewbacca noises, a playful habit that never failed to bring laughter and smiles to those around him. He never judged others, meeting everyone with friendship, kindness, and an open heart.

Family meant everything to Nicholas. He cherished time spent with his brothers and loved gathering with family, whether it was sharing stories, enjoying a good laugh, or simply being together. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life-fishing, basketball, and moments shared with those he cared about most. His presence made ordinary days brighter, and his warmth left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Nicholas is survived by his brothers, Joshua Walls, David Strom, and Hunter Strom; his daughter, Jadhyn Walls; his son, Anthony Walls; his father, Norm Allen; his stepfather, Roland Strom; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Walls.

Though Nicholas is no longer with us, his laughter, kindness, and love for family will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His family will gather to honor and remember his life at a memorial and celebration to be held in the spring of 2026.
