Nick L. Alincy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nick Lovensen Alincy, aged 17, on November 7th, 2023. He left this world at his favorite place, after being taken away by a rip current. As we gather here today, we are united by the love and the profound sense of loss we all feel for a man who touched our lives in ways words can hardly express. Nick was not just a friend; he was a constant source of light and warmth in our lives, a force of nature whose energy and spirit were as boundless as his capacity to love.
On December 21st, 2005, Nick was born in Fort Lauderdale to his parents, Costina and Louicius Alincy. Within his family, he shared a deep bond as a loving sibling to Alex Alincy, Laurie Alincy, Richard Alincy, and Alouna Alincy. Nick's capacity for friendship extended far beyond his kin, as he became a devoted companion to many, enriching his life with meaningful connections.
Nick's soccer journey began with a simple request to his mom to play football. However, being a true Haitian, she interpreted it as soccer and promptly enrolled him on a soccer field. Fortunately, Nick embraced this twist of fate and developed a deep love for the game. This decision paved the way for a dedicated soccer career, with Nick playing for both the Port Saint Lucie Hurricanes and the Centennial Eagles, leaving an indelible mark on the field. His passion for soccer was palpable, evident in every match he played, every goal he scored, and in the countless hours he devoted to honing his skills on and off the field.
Beyond athletics, Nick went to Centennial Highschool, where he planned to graduate then pursue a career in photography and marketing. Nick was One of the greatest friends anyone could ask for. He always found time for the people he loved. All of his friends could take note of a time, where nick would come visit them during his lunch break, even if it was only for a moment. He was known for loving God, loving his family, and bringing joy to those around him.
Nick's soccer legacy is defined by a remarkable career filled with widespread recognition and numerous awards. His talent, demonstrated through goal-scoring prowess and exceptional leadership, earned him a well-deserved place among the sport's. He touched the lives of many through rec coaching, being a classmate, a friend, a son, and brother. The family invites friends and well-wishers to join in a celebration of Nick's life today and, as we bid farewell to Nick, we hold onto the cherished memories and the love he shared. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know Him.
