Nicole Mars Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weir Mac Cuish Family Funeral Home from Jan. 18 to Jan. 19, 2022.
Nicole (Nikki) Michelle Mars was born on January 4, 1970 in Malden, MA, to Shirley Laura Mars (Hayes) and Billy Sunday Mars. She died suddenly from cardiac arrest on January 11, 2022.

Nicole attended Fitchburg State College and graduated on May 30, 1998 from the University of Massachusetts (UMass), Boston, MA with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Nikki was happiest when she was with family. In fact, when she was 16 years old her brother Scott needed a kidney. Even though she was a good match, the doctors said she was too young. True to form for Nikki, the day she turned 18, she said, "Come on Scott, let's get this done" and she gave him one of her kidneys.

Nikki had a sweet, sweet spirit and a kind heart. Despite her own challenges, she was always calling to make sure everyone was okay. She especially enjoyed her nieces and nephews and loved them with all of her heart.

Nikki is survived by her sister, Robyn Mars (Malden, MA), her brother, Billy Mars (San Francisco, CA), her nieces, Chantalle and Chandra Robinson (Malden, MA), Christel Hayes (Malden, MA), and Jada Milton (Port St. Lucie, FL), her nephews, Jamaurie and Michael Brown (Malden, MA) and Davon Milton (Port St. Lucie, FL); her great nieces, Vivienne Crawford, Cherai Reese, and Chyle Rivera all of Malden, MA; and her cousins Robert Hayes (Everett, MA) and Richard Hayes (Stoneham, MA) and her very good friend, Stacie Minot.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Billy and Shirley Mars, her brother, Scott Mars, her uncles, Leslie and Robert Hayes and her cousin Caren Hayes.

Remember Nikki for the smile on her face…
Remember Nikki for the love in her heart...
Remember Nikki for her giving nature...
Remember Nikki in your heart and in your thoughts…

Remember the times you loved her, the times you cried with her, the times you fought with her and the times you laughed with her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Zion Church Ministries, 757 Broadway, Everett, MA 02149.
