Nila Collins Obituary
Nila Carolyn Collins, born September 9, 1933, in Laurel, MS, died January 24, 2025 at the age of 91 in Mobile, AL.
Carolyn is survived by her Daughter, Jeana Parks; Son, Jimmy Collins; Son-in-law, Tom Parks; Grandson's Brian Parks and Scott Parks; Daughter-in-law, Kate Stringfellow Parks; three Great Grandchildren, James Fisher Parks, Hadley Claire Parks, and Hayden Marie Parks.
She is preceded in death by her parents Florence Fisher Measells and T.J. Measells; Siblings, Dorothy Jean Measells Rosenthal and Staton O Measells.
Carolyn worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Alabama Credit Corporation and retired from Mobile County Court system where she worked as a clerk in the Domestic Relations Court. She was a life long member of the VFW where she worked tirelessly for Veterans.
Carolyn's family will honor her life with on Monday, February 3, 2025 with visitation at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. graveside service in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
