Noah J. Dietzman
July 15, 1950 - October 6, 2022
WAUTOMA - Noah J. Dietzman, age 72, of Wautoma, WI, passed away on October 6, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 15, 1950, in Boscobel Wisconsin, the son of Noah E. Dietzman and Alice K. (Sittig) Dietzman. After graduating from high school, Noah enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving two enlistments, first serving in Da Nang Vietnam with the 1st Marine Air Wing, and second being stationed at MCAS El Toro in Orange County, CA. He was immensely proud of his military service and being a Marine. Upon returning to Wisconsin, Noah started his civilian working career with Sinico Salvage yard, and then with Neesvig's Inc. Meat packing, before starting his career with the United States Postal Service in Madison, WI, in 1981. Over his 30-year career at USPS he had a number of various positions, his last being a Window Clerk at South Side Station.
Throughout his life, Noah enjoyed many things. First and foremost, he was a loving family man, and very proud of his family. For fun, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, bowling, camping, softball, and a good card game with friends. He was always up for the challenge of new things - teaching himself how to snow and water ski. Later in his life, when his grandchildren were born, Noah had immense joy in being in their lives and watching them grow and celebrating their successes. In his last years, he was blessed to receive a service dog named Penny, who brought him companionship and laughter. All of this, coupled with his great wit, resulted in him being a very loved man.
Noah is survived by Luanne R. (Bascombe) Dietzman, his loving wife; his son, Jeremy (Katrina) Dietzman of Greenleaf, WI; his daughters: Tanya Genz of DeForest, WI, Christina Bergeron (Scott White) of DeForest, WI, and Rita (Allan) Gehrke of Minneapolis, MN; his grandchildren: Riley Genz, Sidney Bergeron, Celia Gehrke, Spencer Bergeron, and Robert Dietzman. Noah is also survived by his brothers: Harlan Dietzman of Belmont, WI, and John Dietzman of Richland Center; and his sisters: Patsy Adams of Viroqua, WI, and Alice (Glenn) Sorrell of Fort Wayne, IN; and many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Noah was preceded in death by his wife of four years, Kathy (Pulvermacher) Dietzman; a grandson, James Noah Dietzman; his parents and his sister, Betty (Dietzman) Fry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Noah to H3 Veteran Services, 1339 Union Church Rd, Thomson, GA, 30824, or www.h-three.org in support of other veterans having the opportunity to blessed with a service dog like Noah's precious Penny.
