RUTLAND - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Noah Michael Dupont at the age of 17. Noah left this world pursuing his greatest passion, racing, at a J Day Off Road event in Southwick on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
Born in Worcester and raised in Rutland, Noah was the cherished son of Michael J. Dupont and Sarah A. Dupont. A senior at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton, Noah was diligently perfecting his skills in plumbing, eagerly anticipating his senior prom and graduation in May. For the past two years, he had been apprenticing with Superior Plumbing out of Walpole, showcasing an unparalleled work ethic. Despite the challenges of winter, Noah bravely took on three jobs, including plowing, demonstrating his strong determination and dedication.
Noah is survived by his parents, Michael J. Dupont and his wife Jennifer Carlson; and Sarah A. Dupont and her partner Joey Holland, all residing in Rutland. He is also survived by his paternal grandfather, Roy Dupont, was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Virginia C. (Beshai) Dupont of Holden; and is also survived by his maternal grandparents Henry and Anne (Trottier) Borgeson of Grafton. Noah leaves behind a beloved great aunt, Mary Caputo of West Boylston; three adoring aunts, Lisa Lange, and her two children, Trevor and Mia of Seattle, WA; Becky Hulyk and her two children, Aidan and Erin of Southbridge; and Beth Peranian of Grafton; as well as his cherished girlfriend, Abby Linde of Southbridge, and a multitude of beloved friends, including his close trio Jesse Catino, Trent Szela, and Mason Jordan, that mourn his loss deeply.
Noah lived life with an old soul's wisdom and a heart big enough to embrace everyone he met. Whether it was a stranger passing by or a longtime friend, Noah had a knack for turning acquaintances into lifelong buddies. He was the epitome of kindness and joviality, always ready with a goofy joke to lift spirits. Noah's loyalty knew no bounds, and he was the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. At Bay Path Vocational Technical High School, he was not just a student but a mentor to younger peers, embodying his motto of "Life's too short, grip it and rip it" in everything he did. Outdoors was where Noah truly thrived, whether he was casting lines, setting up camp, or spending quality time shooting with his dad. His signature cowboy boots, Carhartt sweatshirts, and jeans were as much a part of him as his infectious laughter. A standout on the soccer field for Rutland youth, Noah's passion and talent shone brightly, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours for Noah on Sunday, April 21, 2024, from 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Saint Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Noah will be laid to rest near his Grammy Ginny at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in West Boylston. The family appreciates your presence and support during this time of remembrance and celebration of Noah's life. The family requests that all in attendance at the visitation dress as comfortably as Noah would have; jeans, boots and Carhartt if you have it.
