I am incredibly saddened to hear of Noah´s passing. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting him in Egypt. I´ll never forget one night during the trip, he noticed I was feeling uncomfortable and made sure I got back to my room safely. This is a testament to the kind of person Noah was-kind, respectful, compassionate, and an absolute gem to be around. I am grateful to have met him. Sending my deepest condolences to Noah´s family and friends.

Met Noah in Summer 2023 through mutual friends in a rec volleyball league on North Avenue Beach in Chicago. I became good friends with Noah and Mateo Portillo and we would frequently go out on the weekends. Noah was always fun to be around and made nights at the bar or hanging out more fun. I am forever grateful to have met Noah and I send me deepest condolences to his family and friends that are close to him.

I graduated Chelsea High School with Noah van Reesema in 2016. I remember Noah as an excellent athlete and scholar, and well-loved by all who knew him. Noah had a million dollar smile and he will be sorely missed. I will pray for the van Reesema family.

Noah came to Jordan's 10th bday party. We lived on 8 acres that was wooded and there was a lake out back. Jordan's dad and I decided to have a "scary woods" party for Jordan and his friends. They were each given a flashlight so they can see where they were going. There was a trail around the 8 acres with multiple pit stops that had "scary" themes. The last stop had a campsite with spooky sounds, a fire pit, and a troll with a chainsaw. When the kids heard the chainsaw go off, then turned a ran like track stars!! Noah got so disoriented with fear that he ran off the trail and landed in some bushes. As the kids ran past me, I could hear screaming and the boys calling for Noah. He had dropped his flashlight and I had a hard time finding him. As soon as I did, I had to pluck him out of the bushes and walk him back to the house, where the boys were all standing in fear of the "troll with the chainsaw"!!! We are still laughing about the that day.....

Noah and my son, Jordan Haber, have been friends since the third grade when we moved to Chelsea. They had a bond that could not be broken, they were like brothers. Their friendship took them from elementary school, middle school, high school, college and beyond. This bond is not broken, it will live in Jordan's heart until they see each other again......
May your mind be at peace Noah.
