Noda Marlene Deuschle
Noda Marlene Deuschle, 90, of
Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg Campus. Marlene was born on November 14, 1935 to Ralph and Florence Mitchel.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and sister whose life was centered on caring for the people she loved.
Marlene was married to her first husband, Marvin Base, for 45 years until his passing in 1998. Together they raised two daughters who were the heart of her world. In 2013 she married the late Joseph Deuschle, and they shared 12 years of companionship, laughter, and everyday comforts.
A homemaker her entire life, Marlene took pride in creating a warm home and being there for her family. She also spent many years helping her sister at the Rockwell Duck Hunting Marsh, where she made lasting friendships and memories.
She enjoyed the simple joys that made each week feel special. Getting her hair done, stopping at the Pancake House for a meal, or driving to Port Clinton for her favorite pizza were small routines that brought her true happiness. Marlene also loved cards. For over 50 years, she and six couples who had been friends since childhood gathered each month to play euchre and pinochle, a tradition filled with laughter, stories and deep connection.
Marlene will be remembered for her kindness, her easy smile and the quiet way she showed love. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
Surviving is her daughter, Renee (Alan) Bowser; grandsons, Dustin (Jess) and Thomas (Jessie) Bowser; great-grandsons, Leland, Louis, and her third great-grandson, who is expected to arrive in February 2026; sister, Veda Jacobs; niece, Cindy (John) Duncan and Marya Jacobs; son-in-law, Mark Lasko; step-son, Mark Deuschle; and step-daughters, Mary Jo (Mark) Slowinski and Donna (Tim) Robinson.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Florence Mitchel; husbands, Marvin Base and Joseph Deuschle; daughter, Connie Lasko; brother-in-law, Richard Jacobs; and step-daughter-in-law, Madonna Deuschle.
Her family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Home Instead for their kindness, companionship and the meaningful friendships Marlene formed with them.
