Noel Pennington, age 84, of Hot Springs, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
He was born on April 8, 1940 in Bonnerdale. He was the son of Steward and Dona Phillips Pennington. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Cleo Pennington; his sister, Evelyeen Ward; and his son, Glen Pennington.
Noel married Linda Priddy on September 2, 1999, where they spent 25 wonderful years together. He was a member of First Christian Church. During his working years he worked as a logger, then as plant manager in Kansas City and when he moved home he worked at Bean Lumber Company. He thoroughly loved to build, go to the casino, traveling, and most of all spending time with his family. Some of his fondest memories were hunting with "his boys." Noel was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Priddy of Hot Springs; his three children, Sherri (Tim) Holmes of Hot Springs Village, Don (Kate) Pennington of Panama City, FL, and Jon Pennington of Glenwood; his ten grandchildren; "bunches" of great-grandchildren; his brother, Doyle Pennington; along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Pallbearers will be David Porter, Chris Tigue, Travis Sisco, Rodney Tigue, Dalton Tigue, and Ronnie Tigue.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home, 209 North 3rd Street, Glenwood, AR 71943 with Bro. Scott Brown officiating.
Interment will be held at Memorial Gardens.
