Dr. Nolan Richards

Nolan was my first sailing mentor at the creation of the MSSA. I started as a teenager developing good sailing skills under his tutelage, often reflecting on that experience well beyond my young years. His character left a lasting imprint into my senior years. One time he allowed me to take out his boat while he and Hellen and kids had lunch. I was having so much fun I lost track of time requiring Nolan to send someone out on the water telling me he wanted his boat back. Good memories.

Deep peace of the running wave to Nolan and to all who knew and who loved him.

Nolan was special to so many people and will be sorely missed!
