    Nonalee Holgate Goodrich, age 85, passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side in her home in Bluebell, Utah on September 18, 2024.
    Nonalee was born April 16, 1939 in Arcadia, Utah. She was the fourth of eight children born to Frank Leo & Leona Eldorus Bell Holgate.
    She had a very large family. She was shy and liked to find a quiet place to daydream.  Her family lived a very frugal, simple life, but they had everything they needed. She loved swimming in the canal and making rock playhouses on the hill behind their house. She would often say how much she adored her younger siblings. Her most fond memories came from their family camping trips to the mountains.
    Nonalee met Gary at a dance at Victory Park. This young cowboy won her heart. They enjoyed going to dances together. They dated for 3 years and had a wedding date set, but one night they decided to drive to Salt Lake and elope three days before their wedding on October 30, 1957. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on May 7, 1994.
    Throughout her life she did many things with her family. Most of it included rodeo and racing horses. She usually worked in the announcer stand timing the events. She loved all their horses, saying that some were like family. Mandy Flo will always be the one she loved the most. She taught the 4-H riding club with Sharleen Goodrich and Peg Rust. This was really fun for her. She also joined the women’s riding club called the Altamont Saddletts.
    She enjoyed quilting, making quilts for each of her children. She baked bread almost daily, loved collecting antiques, spoons, and coins. She even collected antique guns that she gifted to Gary for Christmas. She was an excellent seamstress and made many of her own dresses as well as clothing for her children. She also knitted and made many sweaters.  She was very crafty and could whip up a costume, craft project, or whatever was needed in the spur of the moment.
    She was a beautiful artist, taking after her mother. Over the course of her life she painted several oil paintings. She even got a purple ribbon in the County Fair on one of them. She was very humble and never felt like her art was good enough so most of them ended up in her closet, but a few did make it up on her walls. She was very talented in everything she did.
    She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many church callings throughout her life including Primary President, Stake Primary and Relief Society. She was also a temple worker in the Vernal Temple for several years.
She worked several years at Country Flair and Bluebell Store, but most of her time was spent at home serving her family. She lived a selfless life always serving and putting everyone else's needs before her own. She loved her family more than anything and was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was who she was because of her family and her love for her Savior.
    Nonalee is survived by her husband, Gary Nyle Goodrich, children, Kim (Eric) Fisher, Altonah, UT; Linda (Brad) Rosewood, Riverton, UT; Sandy Ames, Bluebell, UT; Jodi (Darryl) Wadsworth, Grace, ID; Jamie (Darell) Thacker, Roosevelt, UT; Scott (Lisa) Goodrich, Bluebell, UT; 28 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, brother, Brent (Connie) Holgate, Altonah, UT; sisters, Cleo Stevenson, Sun City, AZ; and Susan (Mike) Johnson, Farmington, UT.
    She was preceded in death by parents, Frank & Leona Holgate, grandsons, Baxter Rosewood & Dillan Thacker, son-in-law, Bryan Ames, great grandson, Roper Bagely, brothers, Bud Holgate & Doug Holgate, sisters, Joann Walker & Gwen Funk, and half sister, Elva Zaragoza.
    Funeral services for Nonalee Holgate Goodrich, age 85, wife of Gary Goodrich, will be held on Tuesday, September 24th at 11:00 a.m. at the Altamont Stake Center.  Viewings will be held at the church on Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
    Burial in the Bluebell Cemetery.
