Nonna Ann Ross, age 78, of Hannibal, MO passed away Tuesday November 18, 2025, in Hannibal, Missouri at Luther Manor Nursing Home.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held in the future.
The family is being served by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal, Missouri.
Nonna was born on March 25,1947, in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Vernon Steffey who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a sister, Amanda Ann Hooker (Jim); children, Dee Ann Holloman (Billy) of Louisville, Kentucky; Ann Denise Madore and her companion Darin Billings; and Alison Pressley Ross; all of Hannibal, Missouri; and Darin Huston, whereabouts unknown. She is also survived by grandchildren Brook Cecil (Tyler) of Louisville Kentucky, Jalen McCoy (Audrey) of Brazil, Indiana, Michael Huston and his companion Erin of Gailsburg, Illinois; Taylor Sanders (Keith) of Davenport Iowa. and Payton Imhoff along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
Nonna also cherished her dog Bentley, a boxer, who has also preceded her in death. Nonna was an avid lover of dogs and loved many during her lifetime.
Nonna graduated from Hannibal High School in 1964.
Nonna's career was with the Farmers Home Administration where she was employed for 26 years both in the New London County Office and the Columbia State Office. After her retirement she was employed by the First Christian Church in Boonville, Missouri.
Nonna was an avid computer "geek", having a presence on the world wide web which she visited daily. Nonna liked to knit, read, watch movies, listen to music, and spend time with her family.
