Nora Beatrice Warren Biedenfeld was born on October 26, 1929 to Charles Warren and Florence Jenkin in Spencer, IA. She attended country schools in Dickens, IA through Junior High and graduated from Spencer High School in 1947.
She was a member of Masonic Rainbow Girls, a long time 4-H member and enjoyed all she learned. Nora was a county officer and took demonstrations to the Waterloo Cattle Congress.
Nora worked in the office at H&N Chevrolet for 6 years.
She was confirmed at Spencer Methodist Church, and was later a member of Maple Grove Church of God and Royal Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School, worked with youth groups and Women’s Society in all churches.
She is a former member of Beta Sigma Phi, Peterson Federated Club, Tuesday Club and Neighborhood Birthday Club.
Nora married Bill Biedenfeld on April 12, 1953 and moved to the farm, where they lived all of their married life. They traveled the US and the world. She enjoyed sewing, roller skating, gardening, growing flowers, preserving food, photography and watching the monarch butterflies that visited the grove at the farm each year. She loved having a family, watching them grow and attending their events.
Nora was preceded in death by her husband, parents, in-laws; Carl and Josephine Biedenfeld, brothers; Arthur, Lester and William Warren, sisters; Carol Leslie and Lois Perry, several in-laws, cousins and a great granddaughter Aubree Biedenfeld.
She is survived by her daughter; Monica (Bob) Henderson of Nevada MO, sons; Michael (Beth) Biedenfeld on Manson IA, Steven (Tracey) Biedenfeld of Peterson IA, and Douglas (Dawn) Biedenfeld of Peterson IA, 9 grandchildren, Adrienne (Justin) Lee of Nevada, MO, Alison Henderson of Shawnee, KS, Abbey (Adam) Batschelet of Spencer, IA, Dustin (Kiley) Biedenfeld of Peterson, IA, Beau (Liz) Biedenfeld of Peterson, IA, Jenna (Demi) Biedenfeld of Savage, MN, Beatrice (Justin) Klein of Sioux, City, IA; Tom (Emily) Biedenfeld of Des Moines, IA and Julianna Biedenfeld of Des Moines, IA; 16 great grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clay County Fair Tree Fund.
