Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home - TremontonNora Lopez Garza was born on June 14, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas, to Manuel and Eulalia Garza, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Barcellia McBride; and her siblings, Mario Garza, Homer Garza, David Garza, Daniel Garza, Billy Garza, Ray Garza, Enedelia Garza, and Olga Carmona and Sammy Garza.
Nora lived a life full of love, laughter, and strength. From a young age, she was never too busy to laugh, never too busy to talk up a storm, and never too busy to care deeply for those around her. She carried a spark within her that stayed with her throughout her life—a spark that became her strength, her warmth, and her light.
She had the biggest heart and a beautiful soul. Nora was the kind of person who would give you the shoes off her feet if you needed them. Her smile could light up a room, and her laughter brought comfort and joy to everyone around her. Her big, beautiful brown eyes carried a warmth that could brighten even the darkest days.
Throughout her life, Nora taught those around her to never give up, to keep fighting for what matters, and to push through life’s hardest moments—the pain, the tears, and the struggles. To her, family was everything. Even when life was difficult, she believed in holding onto one another and never letting go.
Nora passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at her home in Roy, Utah, surrounded by her family. Though she faced serious health challenges, they never defined her. Her strength, her spirit, and her undimmable light remained until the very end.
The name “Nora,” meaning “light,” could not have been more fitting. Her light was bright, powerful, and unforgettable. Everyone who knew her felt it—and that light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she loved.
Nora is lovingly survived by her children, Orlando McBride and Eulalia Garza (Lee Sisneros); her grandchildren, Alyssa Perez, Americus Garcia, Anthony Zapata, Destiny Garza, Deontae Richardson, Nobalee Garza; and her great-grandchildren, Jenevae Zapata, Demetrius Mendoza, Fidencio Trujillo, Guadalupe Trujillo, and Lylia Trujillo.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, laughter, and devotion to family. Her memory will live on in every smile, every shared story, and every moment of love she inspired.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Noon with a viewing held prior from 10-11:30 A.M. All services will be held at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton). The service will be livestreamed and can be accessed below.
