Nora Sue Price Boyd, age 84, a resident of Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on December 4, 2025. She was born on March 24, 1941, in Monroe, Louisiana.
A celebration of her life will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home on 165 North in Monroe, on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Nora Sue was a nurturing mother, devoted sister, loving wife, and cherished friend. She loved her family deeply and found great joy in spending time outdoors. She delighted in the frequent visits of hummingbirds and squirrels to her feeders and had a special love for plants and flowers of all kinds. She loved sharing the beauty of whatever was growing or blooming in her yard.
She retired from Southeast Foods after many years of dedicated work.
Nora Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Eugene “Tip” Price and Susie Dale Francis Wilhite, and by a son, Robert Daniel Garsee, Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold “Bubba” Boyd; her daughter, Susan Garsee Shrader, and husband Mike; her son, William Eugene Garsee; her bonus daughter, Sabrina Sherrill, and husband Andy; her brother, Amos Price, and wife Nina; her grandchildren, Danny Garsee, Courtney Mills, Ethan Garsee, Cassie Garsee, Travis Book, Collin Sherrill, and Braelyn Sherrill; and her great-grandchildren, Jayden Mills, Vaida Mills, Asher Book, Tinsley Herrington-Book, Kailynn Garsee, and Gunner Gilbert. She was joyfully anticipating becoming a great-great-grandmother in the spring of 2026.
May her legacy of love and quiet strength live on through each generation she leaves behind.
