Norbert N. Pritzl

Norbert N. Pritzl, age 99, a former resident of Cato and a current resident of Manitowoc, died on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Felician Village Court in Manitowoc, WI.
Norb was born on June 1, 1925, in the town of Cato, son of the late John A. and Mary (Strauss) Pritzl. He attended St. Mary's School, Clarks Mills and was a life-long active member of the parish. He attended the Farm and Industry Short Course at UW-Madison. On May 29, 1954, he married Rita T. Mella at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Northeim. Norb and Rita owned and operated the family farm in Cato until their retirement in 1987. Rita preceded him in death on February 5, 2016. He joined the Serra Club in 1974 and was a past president of the Wisconsin State Guernsey Breeders' Association. Norb was also a member of various nature clubs. He enjoyed hand constructing bird houses for the annual migration of bluebirds that came to his backyard.
Survivors include seven sons and four daughters-in-law: Andrew Pritzl, Lodi; Christopher and Joan Pritzl, Cato; Dominic Pritzl, Cato; Lawrence Pritzl, Manitowoc; Mark and Stacy Pritzl, Cedarburg; Patrick and Mary Pritzl, Franksville; Nicholas and Christine Pritzl, West Bend; one daughter: Barbara Pritzl, Greendale; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Lauren (Daniel) Kristoff, Green Bay; Kari (Spencer) Miller and their son, Lucas, Evansville, WI; Haley Pritzl, Green Bay; Timothy (Sydney) Pritzl and their daughter, Evelyn, Burlington; Sarah (Mitchell) Ensz, West Allis; Rachel (Kevin) Koenig and their son, John, Apple Valley, MN; Matthew Pritzl, West Bend; Megan Pritzl (fiancé, Jackson Andersen), Faribault, MN; Andrew W. Pritzl, West Bend and Joseph Pritzl, West Bend; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Paul Pritzl, Manitowoc; Edward and Ann Pritzl, Cato; Donald and Joyce Pritzl, Casco; six sisters and two brothers-in-law: Marie Schermetzler, Manitowoc; Anna Mae Cornils, Manitowoc; Dave Brouchoud, New Berlin; Eunice Beilke, Monica Herzog, Katherine and Ronald Krupski, all of Manitowoc; Suzanne Zimmermann, Cato. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a son: Michael Pritzl; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: John Pritzl, Othmar (Laura) Pritzl and Violet Pritzl, three sisters and seven brothers-in-law: Agatha and Ed Leist, Irene and Joe Oswald, Geraldine Brouchoud, Robert Herzog, Bernard Schermetzler, Roger Cornils, LeRoy Beilke, and Howard Zimmermann. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Rose and Stanley Tadych, Martha and Wilbert Mallman, Gertrude and Fred Bast, Cecelia Mella, Agnes and Frank Greskowiak, Leonard Mella, Eunice Mella, and Phyllis and Jerome Wojta.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Concelebrating the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Richard Klingeisen and the Rev. David Greskowiak with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Clarks Mills.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th St., Manitowoc from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The visitation will continue Saturday, April 5, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
