Noreen Elaine Boes

Noreen Elaine Boes of Lansing,

Passed away March 15, 2026, at the age of 77. Noreen was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on March 18, 1948, the daughter of Clifford and Flora (Walters) Zinn. She received her Bachelors in Theater from Michigan State University. Noreen and her husband, Dave were both members of the Furrin Group, which is where they met and shared their common interest in cars. While Dave worked on his Shopsmith, she would be staining furniture and the various crafts he made. Noreen was very involved in local theaters, even performing in Kent, Eaton Rapids and Holt Community Theaters. She was a member of the Eaton Rapids and East Lansing Lions Club as well as Seniors Helping Seniors. Noreen enjoyed traveling, sailing, boating, playing Bridge and cooking. She loved meeting new people. Noreen led with her heart and a big infectious smile, which she never lost.

Noreen is survived by her daughter, Catherine (William) Mitchell; grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas (Ashley) and Alex Mitchell; 2 great grandchildren as well as five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Boes; brother, Norman Zinn.

As a last act of kindness, Noreen was a registered body donor. Interment will take place in East Lawn Memory Gardens in the spring. Arrangements were entrusted to the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel in Eaton Rapids.
