Noreen Heuvel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kessler Fahrenkrug Funeral Home - Neenah on Oct. 1, 2025.
Noreen "Bubbles" Vanden Heuvel, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her Neenah home, surrounded by family, in the very house she lovingly cared for over 62 years at the age of 92.
Born into the large and lively Hartzheim family, with nine brothers and sisters, Noreen spent her entire life in Neenah. She met the love of her life, Bud, at Neenah Foundry, and the two were married on September 17, 1955. Together, Bubbles and Bud built a wonderful life filled with faith, joy, and family. They raised five children, welcomed ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and surrounded themselves with countless friends and loved ones.
Bubbles was the consummate stay-at-home mother-always present, always proud, and always placing her children first. Beyond her home, she dedicated her time and energy to her community. She worked at funerals, served school hot lunches at St. Gabriels, supported the Women's Auxiliary, and was the guiding force behind Bud's many endeavors, from his work with CFC and parish council to his bowling league. Through it all, she remained his greatest cheerleader.
She was known for her unwavering devotion-to her family, her home, and her Milwaukee Brewers. Bubbles took great pride in her spotless house, her beautifully decorated Christmas tree, her well-tended yard, and her cherished New Guinea impatiens.
Bubbles enjoyed a day filled with joy playing bingo, card games, and visiting the casino with family and friends.
Noreen was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene "Bud" J. Vanden Heuvel (June 14, 1993); and her siblings: Sophie (Earl) Austin, Hazel (Art) Missall, Alvina (Roland) Piette, Sylvester (Bethel) Hartzheim, Howard Hartzheim, Ronald (Barb) Hartzheim, Theodora Kosiorek, and Edward (Barb) Hartzheim; In-laws: Joyce (Sylvester) Hermes and Joan (Henry) Etteldorf.
She is survived by her sister, Iva (Tom) Tummett; in-laws: Wally Kosiorek and Delores Hartzheim; her children: Bill (Karla) Vanden Heuvel, Jeff (Mellissa) Vanden Heuvel, Lori Vanden Heuvel, Michael (Mary Kay) Vanden Heuvel, and Becky (Michael) Ebelt; grandchildren: Peter (Mandi)Vanden Heuvel, Nick Vanden Heuvel, Luke Vanden Heuvel, Alex Vanden Heuvel, Jake Vanden Heuvel, Mackenzie Vanden Heuvel, Ben Vanden Heuvel, Owen Ebelt, Joe Vanden Heuvel, and Rachel Vanden Heuvel; her great-grandchild, Jordyn Vanden Heuvel; and extended family who will continue to carry forward her legacy of love, faith, and care.
