Norkietha Childs was born in Albany, Georgia on November 5,1961. He was the beloved son of the late Freddie D. and Mary Alice Childs.
He was educated in the Dougherty County School System and gained much from his educational and extra-curricular experiences.
It takes a very special person to genuinely care for others and Norkietha was just that person-he was accepting of people from all walks of life; was never judgmental; was loving, caring, and kind.
His quick witted demeanor, jovial nature, and spirit of sunshine and laughter made him a true joy to be around. One of the greatest joys of his life was spending time with family and friends who often referred to him as a difference maker and a lover of all mankind.
He had a big heart for all things and found joy in every circumstance. Even in the midst of life's challenges, he was always grateful for everything that came his way. Norkietha was the kind of person that anyone would be proud to call brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, or friend. Truly, he has left footprints in our hearts that will never be forgotten.
On January 26, 2024, Norkietha peacefully transitioned from this earthly life at St. Francis Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan Childs, Sr.
Cherished memories will forever remain with his siblings, Melissa Clark, Kelvin Childs, and Tara Childs; nieces and nephews, Mica Childs, Porsche Childs, Jonathan Childs, Jr., Sam Jones, and Timothy Jones; aunts and uncles, Helen Johnson, Robert Ford, Earnestine Childs, Machine (Ernest) Harris, Marilyn (Earl) Wynter, Beverly (Nathan) Jones, Cleveland Childs, William (Ivey) Childs, Michael (Celeste) Childs, and Clinton (Julia) Childs; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends..
