Gaffney, SC - Mary Frances "Franny" Ivey, 88, of 2106 Boiling Springs Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Edd Ivey and Amy Humphries Ivey. She retired from Oxford and Straightline and was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church. She loved her family, children, gardening, canning, was a great homemaker, and enjoyed her Senior Group at Church.
Surviving is a brother, Guy Edward Ivey (Elaine) of Gaffney; a sister, Shirley Ridings of Gaffney; numerous special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Monroe Ivey, a brother-in-law, Jimmy Ridings, a sisterin law, Sandra Ivey, a nephew, Michael Todd Ivey, and a niece, Judy Martin Murrell and her husband, Jesse.
Franny will be taken to the residence, 2106 Boiling Springs Highway, Gaffney, SC 29341 where the family will receive friends. Franny will also lie in state at Camps Creek Baptist Church at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM at the Church with Reverend Steve Durham and Reverend Buddy Morehead officiating. Interment will be in the Camps Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Camps Creek Baptist Church, 2318 Camps Creek Church Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
