I have just now gotten the courage to write something here. My heart is still broken. She was my aunt but more like a mother to me. I became a social worker because of the joy I saw when she helped others. She encouraged me when I didn't believe in myself and expected me to stand up for what I believed was right. She was truly an inspiration to anyone that knew her. I miss her so much and still can't believe she's gone. I always felt like I was home when she was near. She is Gods angel now. I know she's happy to be with Ray and to let go of the fight. I will never forget you and I will always love you Norma

Norma was such a wonderful social worker and person. I worked with her at Western Carolina Center many years ago but have never forgotten her dedication in her career. I want to express my condolences to her family and friends.

There are no words that can adequately describe the huge void in our hearts since Norma's passing. As her next door neighbor and close friend, we will surely and sorely miss our daily conversations, laughter, and tears that have been ours to share through the years and especially since Ray's passing. Both she and Ray were a strong presence in our lives since we moved here over twenty five years ago. We were fortunate to have such welcoming neighbors who soon became our friends through so many daily interactions. And then, as they became older and problems had begun to crop up for both of them, we were honored to stand in the gap to help them through some of their horrific health issues. As we shared our times together, we grew to love both Ray and Norma immensely, and now it is so hard to believe they have moved on yet to another Home. It brings comfort to our hearts to know that for them, there is no more pain, and there was a wonderful reunion between the two of them... but still, we will sorely miss them and the long lasting presence that their love has forged in our hearts forever, and we will look forward to being their neighbors once again when we will join them in our new home there as well..
