Norma Elliott Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 6, 2026.
Norma Cindy Elliott (née Burnham), 69, of Mason, NH, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born on September 5, 1956, in Beverly, MA, Norma grew up in Salem, MA, the daughter of the late Robert Milton and Regina Louise Burnham.

She eventually moved to Milford, NH, with her family, where she met the love of her life, Richard John Elliott Jr. The two were married for 50 years.

Norma's greatest joy was found in the simple things in life. She was an avid walker and loved spending time at the beach, breathing in the fresh air of the White Mountains, and spending time with her granddaughter.

Her home was always filled with the presence of her beloved animals; she was a passionate breeder of Ragdoll cats and a dedicated volunteer at the local humane society.

Her kindness and compassion for all living things left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard John Elliott Jr.; her son, Richard John Elliott III, and his wife, Laura Marie Elliott; and her cherished granddaughter, Brianna Jennifer Elliott.

She also leaves behind her brother, Robert (Bob) Burnham, and her sisters, Shirley Howell and Nancy Blute.

A service to celebrate Norma's life will be held sometime in 2026.

In place of flowers, the family suggests donations to organizations close to Norma's heart:

Alzheimer's Association MA/NH Chapter: Donations can be made at alz.org/manh.

Humane Society for Greater Nashua: To honor her love for animals and her time spent volunteering, gifts can be made online at hsfn.org.
