YADKINVILLE – Mrs. Norma Freeman-Woods of Snowbird Drive passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at her home. She was born December 16, 1932 in Boston, Mass. to the late Clarence Woods and Lillian Mills. Mrs. Woods worked for several years as an Ophthalmologist Technician for the Eye Clinic at Bellevue Hospital in New York City before retiring to North Carolina. She was of the Catholic Faith and was a devoted believer in God. Mrs. Woods was an avid crocheter and enjoyed blessing others, especially at Greater Church of Winston-Salem, with her beautiful Afghans. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Freeman, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and a granddaughter. Mrs.Freeman-Woods is survived by her three sisters, five children, several grand-children and great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, their spouses and mates. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
