Norma Jean Gray, age 70, of Cuba, Missouri, passed away on December 25, 2024, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan. She was born on April 22, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Norman E. and Betty (Lee) Speer.

On December 1, 1984, Norma married Timothy Gray in St. Louis, and together they lovingly raised four children: Aaron, Daniel, Shannon, and Crystal. Norma's life was marked by her dedication to her family and her work. She attended Fox High School in Arnold and pursued a fulfilling career as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at Cuba Manor, where she took great joy in caring for the residents.

In her leisure time, Norma enjoyed crafting, specially making Afghans, and she had a cherished collection of elephants and angels.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Norman E. Speer and Betty (Lee) Whitney; her brother Butch Speer; her son-in-law Ray Chase; and her brother-in-law Larry Gray.

She is survived by her husband of forty years, Timothy Gray; her four children, Aaron Wheeler, Daniel and Tina Wheeler, Shannon Chase, and Crystal and husband Nathan Schroeder, all of Cuba; eleven grandchildren, Autumn and Owen Wheeler, Timothy, Matthew, Tyler, Aaron, and Logan Chase, Maria Muniz, Madison Flowers, Emma, and Aubrie Garrison; one great-granddaughter, Hazel Chase; two brothers, Dean Speer of Desloge and Norman (Debbie) Speer of House Springs; as well as two sisters-in-law, Jackie Ash of Dexter and Janet and husband Dale Frederick of House Springs; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will treasure her memory.

In accordance with her wishes, Norma will be cremated. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Covenant Praise Church of God. Following this, a Celebration of Life Service will commence at 1:00 p.m. at the same location, with Pastor Jeremiah Wilson and Pastor Jeff Clark officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorial contributions to the Covenant Praise Church of God Mission Fund, 309 N. Mapleshade Rd., Cuba, Missouri 65453.
