Norma Ruth Luper Grice passed to Glory at 2: 30 a.m. on October 15, 2024. She was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, on May 31, 1935. She was preceded by her mother and father, Lillian Dovey Lee Luper and Teddy Earl Luper, her sister, Rose Ellen Luper Cain, and a 2-year-old brother, James.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Happy Travis Grice whom she married on December 14, 1952. Her two sons and daughter, Mark Travis Grice, Kevin Luper Grice, and Kimberly Rose Grice Faulk; her four grandchildren, James Travis Grice, Iva Ruth Faulk, Chloe Rose Faulk Crimm, and Ladye Leora Faulk Vance; her four great-grandchildren, Brianna Faith Grice, Maci Nicole Grice Barlow, Kyle Travis Grice, and Magnolia Rose Crimm.
Ruth was a devoted wife and mother through all of Happy’s military deployments as well as all our world travels. Her nickname was Roadrunner, and it was very appropriate. She loved to travel and visit family and friends all over the country as well as all of her neighbors. She was very active in her children's and grandchildren's lives, school, sports, and any other activities they were in. Her heart was always ready to pour out to children. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was also a very active member and served French Camp Baptist Church for many years.
We will miss her very much, but we know because of the gift of our Lord Jesus Christ and his Salvation we can look forward to seeing her again in Heaven. For now, she is in the arms of Jesus and is no longer suffering.
2 Corinthians 5:8 NKJV, her bible, “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2024, at French Camp Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at French Camp Baptist Church, with burial following the service at French Camp Cemetery.
