Norma Jean Hines, age 80 of Williams Street, Moorefield, WV, passed sway Thursday morning, December 30, 2021 at her residence. Born on January 17, 1941 at Fisher, WV, she was a daughter of the late Robert Isaac Myers and Ida Susan Reel Myers. Her husband of 45 years, Gordon Lee Hines preceded her in death in December 2010. Seven brothers, a sister, a son-in-law; a daughter-in-law and a great-great-granddaughter also preceded her in death.
Norma worked a variety of jobs throughout the course of her lifetime. Her favorite job was taking care of her family who she always put first. It didn’t matter if you were related by blood or not, you were still family to her ( step-kids, in-laws, etc.). She always wanted her family to know how much she loved them.
Surviving are two sons, Douglas (Jane) Myers of Old Fields, WV and Mark Hines of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Connie (Ben) Johnston of Delray, WV and Twila Mowery of Moorefield, WV; a step-daughter, Joye Brinson of Nokesville, VA; four brothers, Delmas Myers, Louie Myers and Riley Myers all of Moorefield, WV & Roger Myers of Chantilly, VA; two sisters, Cozetta Evans and Lauretta Wilson of Moorefield, WV; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. A special granddaughter, Raven (Paul) Vinoski of Moorefield whom she raised and cared for her like her own daughter in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastors Wade Armentrout & Brad Taylor officiants. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Baker, WV. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
