Norma Jean Holt, 92, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Norma Jean was an only child and her cousins were like her brothers and sisters growing up. She liked to go to High School football games and graduated from Louisville High School for girls. Soon after graduating she went on to marry her true love Sonny Holt. Together they built a family and Norma was the last Matriarch. She cherished her family deeply, was a Godly woman, and role model to all who knew her.
She was born on September 28, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Bessie (Shaw) Waters. She is preceded in death by her Father, John Waters, Mother, Bessie Waters, and Husband, Clarence E. Holt.
Norma is survived by her loving family, Children, Carol (Richard) Butler, Gregory Holt, and Bradley (Sandie) Holt, Sr.; Grandsons, Nathan (Tai) Bynum, Brandon (Cheryl) Bynum, Chad (Tracy) Holt, Tyler (Crystal) Holt, Jonathan (Kerith) Holt, Bradley Holt, Jr., Jackson Holt, and Justin Bonilla; Granddaughters, MaKenna Holt and Ashley Ferreira; Great-Grandchildren, Brayden Holt, Grayson Holt, Trevor Holt, Skyler Holt, Riley Holt, Karter Bynum, Dawson Holt, Cashton Holt, and Bexley Holt, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish her memory.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
The family requests that contributions in Norma’s memory be made to The Lord's Kitchen (6900 Billtown Rd. Louisville, KY 40299).
