Norma Louise Perkes, age 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023, in her home in Lost River. She was born on June 30, 1949, in Blackfoot, Idaho to the late Lamar Willard Hult and Betty Belle Walker. She was the oldest of a family of three girls. She was a 1967 graduate of Butte County High School. She married Marshal Todd Perkes on August 11, 1967. They would then move to Boise, Rexburg, Pocatello, and eventually back to Arco where they would start their family. In 1972 Norma and Todd were sealed in the Idaho Falls temple. They would then go on to give 6 children a loving home through adoption, of which Marsha would pass away as an infant. Though she may have struggled with the pains of a mortal body, she never let that stop her from being a wonderful mother and wife. Norma had a great love for the Gospel, where she would serve as a nursery leader, teacher, Relief Society President, and ward bulletin specialist. Some of her greatest accomplishments would be the teaching, rearing, and nurturing of her children into adulthood. She is survived by her husband Todd, 5 children; Derek, Amber Evans, Matthew, Myles, and Bobbette McIssac, her sister, Patricia Durfee, 14 grandchildren along with one great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews, of whom have lived with Norma and Todd for part of their lives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Moore Stake Center, 3100 N. 3350 W., Moore, ID. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93, Arco, ID, and Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
