Norma L. Jepperson, age 93 of Melrose formerly of Worthington, MN, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family and friends at Cura Care Center in Melrose, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Mitchell Bechtold officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Worthington.

Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Norma Jepperson was born July 4, 1932, in Worthington Minnesota. Norma was united in marriage with her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Donald Jepperson on November 24, 1951, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Worthington, Minnesota. She graduated from Worthington Senior High School. During her high school years in Worthington, she was deeply engaged in academics, the arts, and service. She was an active member of the school newspaper, the W Hi Star, serving as Editor during her senior year. She held leading roles in many theatrical productions, including the junior class play “The Family Upstairs,” portraying Louise Heller. One of her favorite stories was humorously recalling that she had to kiss her cousin, Bob Chapman, who played her love interest, Charles Grant.

Norma was a member of the National Honor Society, graduated with Scholastic Honors, and received an A.A.U.W. Scholarship Award. She was crowned Homecoming Queen during her senior year.

Norma was a very active member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church where she served as the President of the Women’s Guild and taught religion classes for more than 20 years.

While her husband, Donald Jepperson, was serving in the army during the Korean War, Norma was the lead Teller at First National, the largest bank in Minneapolis Minnesota during that time. Norma was a dedicated homemaker, also known as Mrs. Clean, who raised three children who have a great appreciation for housework and organization

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Jepperson, their son, Todd Jepperson, her parents, Ferdinand and Elda Bucher, and her siblings, Evelyn (Earl) Taylor, Ellen (James) McMurtry, and Elden (Joyce) Bucher.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Jane) Jepperson, Craig (Mary) Jepperson, and Kristin (Stuart) Meyer, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
