Norma Kay Robinson Taylor, age 81, departed this earthly world and peacefully reunited with her beloved husband, Gerald, her two dear sisters, and her Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of Monday, November 10, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Funeral Services celebrating her beautiful and well-lived life will be held at 1 PM Thursday, November 13, 2025, in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home, with Bro. Jeff Moore, family friend, officiating. Visitation for family will be from 11 AM until 12 Noon and public visitation will be from 12 Noon until time of service. Burial will follow in People's Cemetery, with no formal graveside service.
Born on August 16, 1944, in Guys, Tennessee, Mrs. Norma was one of three daughters born to the late Bill and Lorene Hightower Robinson. She was a proud graduate of Kossuth High School, and not long after, she married the love of her life, Mr. Gerald Taylor - the well-known Tippah County barber whose name and kind spirit remain fondly remembered by many. Together they built a simple, love-filled home rooted in faith, respect, and the joy of everyday blessings.
A devoted wife and nurturing mother, Mrs. Norma found her greatest fulfillment in caring for her family. She was an immaculate homemaker who took pride in creating a welcoming space, always neat, warm, and full of love. Her home reflected the heart that built it - steady, giving, and gentle.
A faithful Christian and long-standing member of West Ripley Baptist Church, Mrs. Norma loved the Lord with all her heart and cherished the fellowship of her church family. She was happiest when serving others - whether in the kitchen preparing meals, volunteering wherever she was needed, or simply offering a listening ear and a kind word. Her quiet dedication and genuine kindness touched many within the congregation and beyond.
As her health began to decline, Mrs. Norma embraced the quieter pace of life, finding joy in the peaceful moments that filled her days. She enjoyed good books, the comfort of her home, and the loyal companionship of her beloved cats curled up in her lap as she watched her favorite westerns on television.
Those blessed to have known Mrs. Norma will remember her for her gentle spirit, servant's heart, and steadfast faith. Her grace, kindness, and quiet strength were a reflection of a life well lived and a faith deeply rooted. Though her earthly presence will be dearly missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now fully healed - reunited with those she loved, and at peace in the eternal light of Heaven, worshiping at the feet of her precious Savior.
Precious memories will continue to be cherished by her two daughters, Amelia Taylor Ladreyt (Vincent) and Melissa Ann Taylor, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Lorene Robinson, her husband, Mr. Gerald, and two sisters, Linda Pittman and Ruth Moss.
