Norma Farrar Krajczar, 95, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Carteret Health Care.
A memorial mass to honor Norma’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, November 7th, at St. Egbert Catholic Church, presided by Rev. Thomas Davis. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 6th at St. Egbert Catholic Church. There will be a Franciscan Vigil at 6 p.m. with continued visitation following.
Norma was born on November 7, 1928, in Winchester, Massachusetts, to the late Charles and Pauline Farrar. She was a devoted Catholic and a faithful member of St. Egbert Catholic Church, where she shared her remarkable musical talents by playing the organ for many years. Norma's commitment to her faith extended beyond music; she served on the Board of the Church and passionately followed the teachings of St. Francis of Assisi during her time as a Franciscan Nun, dedicating her life to prayer and service.
Norma's kindness and generosity were evident in her countless hours of community service. In Carteret County, she dedicated herself to assisting the Visual Impaired Group, providing invaluable support to those in need. Her involvement with the Lions Club exemplified her commitment to enhancing the health and wellbeing of her community. Norma was a member of the Ladies Guild where she happily sharing her Catholic faith and traditions, worked to support the parish, and enjoyed wonderful fellowship.
Norma will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated woman of faith, a devoted mother, and a proud great-grandmother. Her unwavering love for her family was a defining aspect of her life, and she touched the hearts of many with her compassion and warmth.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marianne Dickinson (Tim) of Morehead City, NC; grandchildren, Jessica Elizabeth Dickinson, Ashley Hillary LaRicci (Jesse), and Samuel Timothy Dickinson; great grandchildren, Tyler Daniel Wilcox and Isabella Aviana Raine Downing; and her furry companions, her dog, Ian and cat, Kitty.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ferene Krajczar; son, Robert Krajczar; sister, Virginia Veitch; brother, Charles Farrar Jr.; and 8 of her seeing eye dogs.
