Norma Mejia Monreal, 44, of Katy/San Saba and formerly of Earth, passed from this life, Monday, April 21, 2025, in Austin, Texas. Due to weather, the graveside service has been changed to a communion service at 12:30 p.m., at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton with Deacon Richard Martinez officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Some live life, some live it to the fullest. The latter was the way Norma Mejia Monreal lived it. Norma was born on December 21st, 1980, in Muleshoe, Texas, to parents, Rogelio and Melenda Mejia. Over time, Norma took on many roles as a human. She was a caring friend, a loving daughter, a fun sister, and an extraordinary mother. With all of these roles, there were always some common themes she portrayed. This list would go on forever, but there were a few that always stood out. First of all, her smile was infectious. It could easily light up any room and make any day. Her smile always gave you the sense that everything was going to be ok. If you saw it, you saw it. Now her laugh on the other hand, if you heard it, trust me you heard it. Second of all, her loving spirit. Towards her friends, she always provided kind words at the appropriate times. As a wife and mother, she had an unwavering and undeniable love for Mike and Michael. It was truly amazing to see. For the family, her simple hug provided all the comfort and love you needed. If you felt it, you felt it. Finally, her outgoing personality. She never met a stranger. If you made eye contact with her, she was probably going to talk to you. Her positive attitude and outlook on life, no matter the situation, made you think twice about thinking negative. If you lived it, you lived it. Her smile, loving spirit, and outgoing personality will forever live in those that crossed paths with Norma... And for this, we THANK YOU! April 21st, 2025 was not the end, but a new beginning for our dear Norma. We love you!

Norma is survived by her husband, Michael Monreal of Katy/San Saba, her son, Michael Monreal II of Katy/San Saba, her parents, Rogelio and Melenda Mejia of Earth, her parents-in-law, Rudy and Rosemary Monreal of Earth, two brothers, Roy Mejia of Brownwood and Mauro Mejia of Lubbock, and three sisters, Ermalinda Gutierrez of Stanton, and Sylvia King and Anna Mejia, both of Lubbock.
