Norma Dean Parnell

Norma Dean Parnell, 80, of Norfork passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at her home in Norfork. She was born May 26, 1945, in Batesville to Gene and Norma (Rosenbaum) Horn. Norma loved spending time with her granddaughter, Halen and great granddaughters, Elsie & Ada, reading, working in her flower beds, the Arkansas Razorbacks and when she was younger, playing coed softball and ragball. She was a member of the Norfork Baptist Church. Norma is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Chad Parnell; her twin sister, Betty Whitehead and a nephew, Shane Whitehead.
Norma is survived by her husband, Everett Parnell; a daughter-in-law, Angie Parnell; a granddaughter, Halen (Jacob) Braun; two great granddaughters, Elsie and Ada Braun; a brother, Henry (Donna) Horn; four sisters, Allene (Pat) Jones, Pat (Randy) Blades, Jessie Horn-Johnson, stepsister, Deloris Horn-Curington and many more family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., at the Norfork First Baptist Church. The burial will be at Galatia Cemetery in Norfork under the direction of Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
